Hi Maarten,
..., it's about latency and possibly jitter. If that's true, then I agree that he needs to process the data before he offloads it to the PC. On the other hand, if it were really that critical I wouldn't use an RTOS. I would dedicate a µcontroller to that one task. And then I would use a USB port to suck all of the processed data into the PC as fast as possible. Has everyone completely forgotten about parallel processing, especially now that µ-controllers/µ-processors are dirt cheap? |
