#117666 - Yes, it's ancient ... but so am I ... Responding to: ???'s previous message |
It's HELL getting old! ... The old tools, just like we old-timers, still do what they always did, namely produce results suitable for the old jobs. My old 8080-based CP/M box can still do payroll and accounting as well as any PC, and the old dot-matrix printers still print multi-part checks and invoices, so I don't have to print 'em twice. (I'm old enough that the noise doesn't bother me much.)
I haven't found a decent enough VHDL version that actually produces JEDEC files suitable for a 16V8 or 20RA10, though. Sadly, nobody makes the venerable 16RA8 any longer, though the 20RA10 is still available in surplus. Even the 22V10 is getting harder to find. Now that CPLD's have plenty of output current, the only problem is the supply voltage, since you can't drive a cheap logic-input mosfet with 'em. RE |
