use a 74HC14 powered by 2V as first stage, a 74HC powered by 4V as second stage and a 74HC powered by 5V as last stage. KISS and use a resistor and a zener for the reduced Vcc. Check Vih, Vil for these supplies, you may be able to do it by 2 stages. Feed the first stage through a resistor, the internal clamp will take care of the "rectification"

[edit] if you feed the first stage with 2 resistors, one to input and one to +V (calculate the resistors), you can use more than 2V Vcc for the first stage. [end edit]
