#113864 - lock bits
Responding to: ???'s previous message
The datasheet and user's guide implies that, once any of the lock bits have been set, the device can no longer be programmed using bootloader mode, or parallel mode. Has anyone of you guys tested this feature?

It seems that using the lock bits turns the device into an OTP part, thereby much reducing its value. I can understand the use of security features to protect proprietary code, but it seems a mite over-the-top for a built-in feature to render the part totally unable to be erased.

Any experiences, thoughts?
