#113388 - Some speeds probably won't work
Responding to: ???'s previous message

Jacques,

Instead of Using MTK to interface to the DS'4x0, Try HyperTerminal. This is for diagnostic purposes. The PC will assert DTR such that you will be in "Bootloader" mode.

Just start up HyperTerminal (or ProComm, or Term, or ...) and press Enter.

Do you get the Boot Loader Msg?

regards,
p

What speed is the OP trying to connect to the bootloader at? There are some oscillator/port speed combinations that I've never gotten to work. I never looked into the reason though; it could simply have been the result of the autobaud routine not trying the rates in question.

Also, if you want another loader program try, grab my 89C4x0ldr-lite.
