#190081 - TXD/RXD choices
Responding to: ???'s previous message

I wonder how they lock communication? Surely the UART (P3.0/1) will be under my direct control, and the toolstick can't affect that?

See my other posts, they do not 'lock communication' so you can still use TXD & RXD.
On the toolstick they connect to the firmware BA, and the IDE Toolstick Terminal can be used on the PC end.
Look at the schematic in the user guide.

or you can take off at logic levels, to your own serial solution, via the 0.1" header holes.
