Interesting, but expensive. I can use it for other projects. Somehow, cost seems to be a major factor here. Yesterday I was telling the production guy that USB is not that simple and all that, and he showed me a chinese plug-in board (accessory for UPS) that has got just 2 chips inside (CP2102, ST232C + 7 SMD caps + 1 SMD resistor and 1 LED. The board costs 4 USD, with the cable. It has HID interface and it works like a charm. Will try to take a picture.
