#182891 - Component Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi Satish,
My first suggestion, before you try to construct a single pad component or do anything manually, would be to incorporate a resistor in the schematic, defined as a zero ohm resistor, and just put an 0805 footprint on the board. You can buy zero ohm chip resistors, or you can just solder a piece of wire across the pads. As for defining a single pad component, I'm not certain you can. You could always just "break" a track (or trace if you prefer), creating a small gap in the net/node, and then manually lay a track between the broken ends and specify the width making it wider. You would then need to manually edit the overlay layer to label it on the finished board. You will also have to edit the solder mask layer (maybe called the solder stop layer), to keep the track section uncovered on the finished board. Good luck. Joe |
