A company I worked for supplied subassemblies to the gas pump manufacturers, there are only 2 companies that make gas pumps.
The main one is Gilbarco, the name of the other one escapes me.
I do remember Gilbarco was extremly concerned about quality. They would send engineers to our workplace to check our process controls and also insisted that all out test equipment be calibrated annually, even if it wasn't used for there products.
