To do that would require you to do a complete & exhastive test over all operating conditions. Most people who say something "works" just mean that they've tried it a few times and not observed any problems - that is a very different thing from rigorous testing! With junk parts, it is quite possible that their performance may be impaired so that they "work" (sic) under nice, clean, "normal" operating conditions in the lab - but will fail (possibly subtly) in the nasty, real world. This forum (and many others) is littered with posts where stuff "works" by pure luck - with posters claiming to have "tested" it, when, really, they have just run it a few times and not observed any problems.
