Logic IC families still used here.I think that students sometimes used TTL/CMOS also the availability.

Such a tester would just use a bit of clever source code to identify a huge number of 74xx chips.


Perhaps with bootloader for MCS-51? Every different TTL/CMOS or even small MCU tested with different
code from PC??
