#178144 - the 'reputation' of 'burners' is .... Responding to: ???'s previous message |
... the same as the 'reputation' of buggy-whips ca 1900.
DO NOT FORGET that if you buy a 'programmer' you also need to buy an eraser. PLEASE, if you go this route, buy the eraser, any malfunction of a kitchen table version can make you blind. I have seen no new chip introduction without (an) ISP (equivalent) for a long time. Are you familiar with the expression "throwing good money after bad" that is what you are proposing. If, regardless of all the advice against it, you go ahead and decide to buy a 'burner' DO check the 'device list' before buying to make sure that all chips on the boards in your trailer are included. I looked and there is, in your link none ( e.g. EPROM is NOT good enough) if you can not get a device list DO NOT BUY Erik re (an) ISP (equivalent); there are some chips than can be had in 10.000 bundles for $0.05 less w/o the ISP, but the non-ISP is identical to an ISP part except the ISP is missing. |
