I have used MCC, it works fine. The software is OK not the worlds best, but worked for all the stuff I did. They are not cheap. They have both USB and Serial. ( and it has 8052 chip in it) I use their Bus Monitor Also.
I have, but Never used the Microchip Serial Anyalizer which despite the is just a USB I2C master.
