#176386 - I wouldn't go that far Responding to: ???'s previous message |

This again illustrate my statement: "if you can not code it yourself getting 'sample code' serves no (sic?) purpose" I know what you mean - see: http://www.8052.com/forumchat/read/176365 However, I wouldn't go as far as to say that it serves no purpose: often there is a gap between reading/understanding what's written in a datasheet or manual, and actually putting that into pracice in real code. Often, the trouble with datasheets & manuals is that they just describe registers, etc, in isloation - but don't explain how to put it all together to do something useful. This is where a good sample can really help. Unfortunately, as previously noted, a lot of the stuff offered as "sample code" is, frankly, rubbish: http://www.8052.com/forumchat/read/176365 http://www.8052.com/forumchat/read/174319 |
