#175568 - Triscend is dead

Hi, Does anyone know where I can download Triscend Fastchip software. I have a small self-learning project

You are aware, aren't you, that Triscend was bought by Xilinx 6 years ago - and they promptly shut them down and killed the product line?

As noted elsewhere, Zylogic acquired rights to the products in China but, as far as I can tell, have done absolutely nothing with it - certainly nothing that's visible in English! Their website remains an incomplete dump of the Triscend site from 2004 with loads of important bits missing.

all the old download links that I try on the web are dead.

Yes, of course they are; Triscend is well and truly dead - see above!

So, although I was a great fan of Triscend (just search this forum to see!), I would most strongly recommend that you do not start anything based on Triscend products or software.

:-(

I recently attended a seminar about the Actel SmartFusion - and couldn't help getting the feeling throughout that this is Triscend reborn (with added analogue).

If you want something with a "hard" processor and FPGA, I think that would certainly be worth a look...

It looks like Xilinx have finally realised what it was that they killed-off, and are now trying to do it themselves - see this article:

(and note my comment at the end!)

However, if you really do still want to proceed with Triscend, drop me a line and I may be able to help you...
