I get a very bad feeling about zylogic products, as a tool for learning about System on a chip design then its fine, but I would hesitate before using their products in real life.
If you have a real life product where the ecomonics of using a softcore processor sort of look atractive then that is the point where custom cell ASICs or products such as hardcopy from Altera look more attractive. If you look here you will see that Altera for example, offer a very clean transistion from FPGA to ASIC for volume production. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Altera or xilinx easypath FPGAs are another example http://www.xilinx.com/products/easypath/ |
