When "transformer" or "current transformer" is used without any further qualification, it means the inductive device - and, hence, AC only.
If you mean a Hall-effect device, then you must specifically say Hall effect. Since the application here is DC, it cannot just use any "current transformer" - it must be specifically a Hall-effect device. Therefore you must specifically say, "Hall-effect". |
