#170577 - Mine too... Responding to: ???'s previous message |
The AT89S52 is a sweet-tempered work horse, easy to program and handle. I do a lot with it, if power and speed isn't an issue. A nice chip from "Arghmel", haha!
Unfortunately, meassuring applications need an additional EEPROM, ADC, DAC, and eventually some other features, the AT89S52 cannot serve with. So, I'm going to become familiar with SICKLabs, but the very bad support in the datasheets is frustating me a bit. I don't get reliable answers to the many questions I have and I don't want to act as their guinea pig. I don't want to loose my customers, only because this f.....g and s....y POR and VDD monitor stuff of the F50X series isn't working properly, to give one (there are many others!) concrete example. So, now, I'm interested in the ADUC series from Analog Devices... The ATMEGA-series from ATMEL looks interesting too, but the topology is "rather" different to the 8051 micros. So, I would not be able to bring in all my experience I have gained with the 8051s. Kai Klaas |
