Bought 3 tubes (that was the MOQ) of them a couple of years ago, and using them for the hobby stuff ever since. Still have one tube around.

Not the highest-tech stuff, but works solid. UART-ISP-able, self-programmable, does not require a programmer, that's a good thing. The hobby stuff never required more RAM than the 3/4kB available. I am not short of power on the hobby stuff so I don't care about 3V operation which this chip is not capable. Fits into all the DIL40 gadgets I have and made, so I can swap in an out the other '51s which are around.
