I was talking to the dad of Tony Martin, a guy who had to retire from this years tour hr was saying that most of the riders are now to scared of being caught to do drugs because the uci are stamping down on it hard now but some riders are still using blood transfusions.
From what I hear its getting better, there are enough riders who have died as a result of using EPO that they don't take the risk.EPO generates more red blood cells so you have better oxygen transfer but it makes your blood go like treacle when you stop exercising and you run the risk of heart attacks and strokes.
