No problem for the processor, so it doesn't matter if you do it today or 15 years ago. The limiting factor for most people is how fast you can position the laser. I have seen home-built galvos reaching past 20k points/second, but most people have a hard time to get past 5k. I would say 9k is above average. However, when talking about number of points/second, the total projected angle must also be taken into account. Using small angles for the galvos allows a higher speed. |
