Mainly because the routers today don't actually know how this stuff works and, by making mistakes, finally result in a situation that is even worse than when having used a complete, overall ground plane without any gap from begin on. You can achieve proper results by a solid ground plane without gap, if you only separate the corresponding analog and digital ground return currents! Kai |
