If he's not using P0 for anything that requires it, and he doesn't say, he doesn't need pullups.

Until he provides the necessary details, such as what he's driving with P0, he'll get no useable information here, either.

Exactly , and as a matter of fact 89S52 does have internal pullups in some modes, God knows what he is doing.
