#143644 - How reliable is the LPC2368? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Definately. Heck, even a high end arm can cost less than a high end 8051. I've been using the LPC2368 (512k, ethernet, USB, etc) at the cost of $3.90 in quanties of ONE. One of my favorite "high end" 8051's...the SiLabs C8051F120 costs at least 3-4x the ARM and you certainly can't get that kind of price in a quantity of ONE. Hello Tomas, Thanks for your info on the ARMs, since you have been using the LPC2368, how reliable are they, I mean are they bug free etc. I find it uncomfortable to work with Philips(NXP) chips after I had some bad experience with their LPC9xx series controller, and you would also heard about their fiasco with the P89C51xx, P89V51xx and the P89CV?? With prices you have mentioned I think the LPC2368 could become a huge "hit" in the future. John. |
