Ok, let me make an exception "sample code", "reference code" is deterimental,"code for educational purposes only" can be beneficial in illustrating a point, never as "teaching" a point. Erik It's not so much the sample code as it is the alternative of doing nothing. Now, THAT is detrimental. If you look at sample code and figure out whether it works (sometimes it doesn't) and then figure out why, it's not as bad as doing nothing at all. That "doing nothing" is the REAL trap. RE |
