My mother still remembers Germany in the early '30's, and, right after "9/11" she said the atmosphere here reminded her of that era. It scared her, as well it should have.

We had a bunch of oil-industry types in the executive branch, all pulling for various ways to enrich the big-oil/big-energy/big-industry interests, since that, in effect, enriches them. The first thing they did after the "9/11" attack was to get their Arab friends out of the country as fast as they could. I'd be not-too-surprised to learn that Dubya and his cronies were complicit, if not directly involved, in the World Trade Center attack, because it benefits them, and it's the sort of thing they'd be prone to do.

Those GOP radicals have set back the rights of women in the U.S. by 30 years. They've hobbled medical researchers, not for their proclaimed "ethical" reasons, but because their cronies owned the stem-cell lines that suddenly became "legal" to use for research. They've attempted to convert the constitutionally limited executive branch into an imperial presidency. They don't care about the future, because all they want is to enrich themselves NOW, and the devil take the hidmost. If the planet catches fire and goes away in 50 years, who cares? They won't be here any longer.

IF you look into Dubya's family background, you see where this all originates. They're promoting an agenda that demotes the middle and "lower" classes into a servant class and seeks to reduce the number of those in the "upper" class to about 100 families, worldwide. Oddly enough, you won't fine even one person among them who's ever produced anything of use. They simply thrive on getting between the productive part of society and their resources. They're parasites. Sadly, there are two types of parasites. The smart ones, which allow their hosts to survive, and the dumb ones, which destroy their hosts. These parasites are dumb!
