Ive just finished working on a new smartcard which has a cut down 8052 core,when i say cut down its got one 8 bit port,its interesting project because its for a security application and absolutelty everything on it is encrypted its in a 90nm texas instruments asic cell technology and the target price for each processor was 90 us cents each.Mind you the NREs were HUGE but they are going to churn them out by the million.
