Axiohm printers usually have a Phillips 80C552. Many POS keyboards use 8031's. My company has several boards with 8052's that provide additional serial ports from a PC parallel port. Lexmark printers use an Atmel varient for controlling the feed motor in additional paper trays. IBM and NCR also use 8031's in some of their POS printers.
Most of the Checkmate check readers (where the check slides back and forth in a straight line) have a Toshiba device TMP95C061BF which I do not believe to be a 8051 variant. |
