I cracked open an uninterruptible power supply and what to my wondering eyes should appear, (a short, fat man and eight tiny reindeer?) no but a Philips, 40 pin P87C52UBPN. Part of the APC SmartUPS series, it is Model number SU300INET. The PCB silkscreen shows a date of 1996 and a part number 640-0735G, rev 7.
