What kind of information, in what format, would have helped you most when you were in those shoes? Do these people have the ability to print out datasheets, etc.? Jon I know most the guys who post are "gimme the code" or just help me.I think what erik and andy does by pointing out to the bible is one good step .After that if he comes back with intelligent question and if consider if he has put some effort help me.Else i think we should totally ignore him.On seeing no response he may get wiser and post properly if he is actually interested.If he is lazy type he will go away.But berating each and everybody may discourage genuine newbies.(Meaning give him a second chance) About datasheets during my engineering time we thought it as waste of paper(how wrong we were).We were not taught the significance of a datasheet and how to apply it to a design.(I am talking of indian engineering education system ).This only happen when we are doing projects when we realize the importance of datasheets.So to think that this guys will be refering datasheets will be a little difficult. I am making this statements using my own experience and does not mean imply that every Member from india may have gone through this.But i can suerly say this is the case for 90% of student community in india.(hope i am wrong).
