I'm not sure that it will necessarily be concise - some things are just laborious by nature, and can never be really concise.

Often, being more "verbose" (ie, less concise) will increase clarity & ease of understanding.

I wouldn't like to say that conciseness and clarity are mutually exclusive, but they do tend to pull in opposite directions.

A common mistake of 'C' programmers is to believe that making the source code as compact as possible will make the generated object more compact...
