You've hit on it all right, Erik, but I think you meant it differently than I.
You see, a high-level language is supposed to facilitate abstraction. It enables you to represent one thing with another. It enables you to present, in simple terms, what might require quite a large and complex amount of code. Programming, in general, requires abstraction. No, it's not the random splats of paint on the canvas, but it is abstraction. RE |
