I think we'll all have to wait until the dust settles. It's unlikely the ARM, or any other MCU will replace/supplant the 805x in those roles it fits best. The Motorola MCU's are not bad either, and their architecture is closer to what's taught in the schools these days. That makes 'em easier for these young whippersnappers that can't read/write to use.
