#109750 - conversion path
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Erik Malund said:
The point i tried to make was that if Keil provides a smooth and easy conversion path as they have done in the past, where id the problem?

That would be true.

But it doesn't really sound like it from their own website - it sounds like they've sidelined their original compiler, and are now Pushing ARM's own tools instead:
Keil/ARM said:
  • Choose the RealView Compilation Tools if your goal is to use the industry-standard development tools from ARM.

  • Choose the Keil CARM C Compiler if your goal is maintain projects created with the legacy Keil compilation tools.
  • (my emphasis)

Why would there be a choice between CARM and Realview if the migration were smooth and easy...?
