#109702 - Dumping Responding to: ???'s previous message |
ARM Dumps Keil Compiler
1) there is no Keil ARM compiler, only a slightly modified GCC 2) Keil does not actually "dump" the ARM ompiler, they come out with a "new and flashy model". It will not be the first time Keil n is a bit incompatible with Keil n-1, but in the past the transition has been supported and documented to the extent that it was no big deal. So, if they transit the way they did before, what is the big hoola-ballo?. If they come out and say "you need to spend days manually converting your code to our new stuff" OK, then start screaming, but please do not scream about something you do not know about. Here in the US it is quite common that some religious nut protest a book or a movie and when asked "did you read/see it" the answer is always "no". Now Borland, that is a different store, when Borland killed "brief" there was no announcement "here is the new and better stuff", sane when they killed CodeWright. Erik |
