#111258 - modelsim is fine for altera fpgas Responding to: ???'s previous message |
You can model both functional and behavioural models
I.E before and after place and route effectivly but altera tools have a vhdl netlist writer which is quite useful as it produces a functional equivelent of whatever it has just placed and routed. You will find that the machine produced equivelent vhdl is just about unreadable and takes about three weeks to run because it has all the wire delays added. You can go the VITAL route for simulations but I tend not to for smallish projects as the extra work involved is rarely worth it. |

Maybe, but probably not for these parts | 01/01/70 00:00
you use it seperatly | 01/01/70 00:00
aye, there's the rub ... | 01/01/70 00:00
However with altera tools | 01/01/70 00:00
Have you tried that? | 01/01/70 00:00
yep just done it now with baseline | 01/01/70 00:00
