#101287 - Example
Responding to: ???'s previous message

Does anyone think that we should "help" a raw rookie that show absolutely no understanding of what this is all about by fixing his/her so called "code".

Maybe. On my 8052.com page I have invited anyone interested in 8051 development under Linux to contact me. Many have. One was a student completing his degree. I helped him with his problem and even gave a high level outline of the code he needed. He came back with some code and I helped him debug it. So far so good; he is doing the work and learning and I just lend a hand here and there.

Then we reach a point where he seems stuck and he asks me to write the code for him. I emailed him that if I wrote the code all he would learn was how well I write code. I have not heard from him since.
