#100734 - Better than 8051?? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I don't have much allegiance to any particular architecture of cpu - over the years I've done quite a bit of 8051,z80,68hc11,68k assembler and recently I've used HC08, AVR, LPC2124 (ARM) in 'c'. Are they any better? Each has their strengths and weeknesses. When its all said and done, does it work? That is the main question! Nowadays the 'c' compiler hides the architecture - so I don't need to lift the bonnet. The young guys get amazed when I can decode the assembler output of the compiler though. |
