This is what I meant. If the rookie/newbie can get something like:
if timer read chapter 2
if uart read chapter 3
......
This may appear less intimidating. Or even a sort of "tip of the day" pop ups which cannot give the whole picture but highlight most obious mistakes.
So of those who are self educated(implying learned the hard way), do not realize if you are mistaught it is worse than ignorance. Sometimes a helpful finger pointing in the right direction, may be more useful than general directions.
