I just read the thread is one is in response to. Obviously the guy had NFI as to how the uart worked. He was pointed to read the 'bible' but obviously that didn't help. This guy was obviously in a hole and needed some firm direction on how to get out. Someone needed to tell him that the uart only can cope with one character at a time - that may have broken his thought loop. I can see the failings on both sides of the conversation, but the OP should've done more research. Unfortunately some people want instant solutions. When the conversation gets bogged down, either outline the problem and offer solutions or simply opt-out. |
