#179984 - Audio don't require good voltage reference Responding to: ???'s previous message |
A note here is that most audio equipment manages 16 bits of audio capture.
But issue one is that for audio, you don't have any digital electronics close to the audio section. And they have double power sections with separate power for the analog electronics to reduce problems with noise on VCC and ground plane from the digital section. Issue two is that they don't require a good voltage reference (just low noise on the reference) since they capture relative amplitude and don't care if they have 5% error in absolute values. Especially since the input signal is AC-coupled with a capacitor. Issue three - what bandwidth do you need, and how can you control noise pick up? |
