He has already explained the "pop" term in earlier posts, but basically that the FET can't be turned off, and is presumed damaged. And changing logic level on processor pin driving the gate will just slightly change the Ron.
A question here is what gate voltage there is when cosidered to have failed? The Gate Threshold Voltage can be as low as 0.8V. And that is at Id of 1mA. |
