#178516 - I/O pin extension
Can someone suggest a way of controlling nearly 450 outputs using 8052 or any of its derivatives.
I need to send hi or low signal to all the pins in a time interval of less than 450ms.
I need to drive relays using the output pins.
Is it possible using a micro controller?
Can anyone suggest an alternative to the options listed below?

1)Using multiple controllers (at least 14 will be required)
2)Using latches or shift registers
The problem with this thing is that how to get their output in the form of analog voltage?
3) Using the sort of matrix that is used in keyboard or keypad
Although this thing sounds feasible to me but in those things matrices are used as inputs and has switches.
To use it at the output will require a switch with same mechanical functionality but with electronic control.

If not an alternative, please comment on what you thing about the above options
