I think it would be quite nice if any of the companies that sells computer-controlled instruments could also sell a USB-connected control box, allowing you to make your favourite features to real physical knobs and buttons, allowing you to control the instrument by tactile feedback only while keeping the eyes on the test subject or on the trace.
