The two SIL cables works OK when the pin assignments of the DIL end are flexible. When the DIL end is already assigned such that pin 1 goes to pin 1, 8 to 8, 9 to 9 and 16 to 16 on the ribbon cable then the SIL cables are not a good choice. You can change the pin assignment on the SIL connector easily by pulling out the pins and reassigning them to your requirements. been there done that plenty of times. Mahmood |
