You're not just comparing the cost of a thermistor directly with the cost of a 1-WireTM sensor, are you...?

Remember that a 1-Wire sensor (or any other direct-to-digital sensor) contains not only the sensor element, but also all the signal conditioning and the ADC.

Therefore, for a valid price comparison, you need to consider the cost of the thermistor plus its signal conditioning plus an ADC...
