#178992 - How UARTs work Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Although Erik is correct that the operation of the 8051's serial port is describd in detail in the so-called "bible", the way it coverts from parallel to serial, and samples the serial line to get back to parallel is pretty musch the same as how any other UART works.
So the answer to that part of the question is not specific to the 8051 - it'd be pretty much the same for any UART. |
