That's no longer true if it ever was. In fact every now and then someone complains of exactly the opposite, that the information is insufficient to go out and completely duplicate the project. There are no kits of the projects available and no encouragement is given to the authors to provide PCB layout (I have yet to see one published), assembly details or even bills of material. In my humble opinion the articles are far less of a "sales tool" than the articles in EDN or Electronic Design. -Aubrey Disclosure: I am a sometime contibutor to Circuit Cellar, so I am not unbiased.
