#172088 - just to clarify Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Each dial bar consists of 5 LEDs in series connected to each cc driver chip pin, I made a total of 19 bars per dial.
just to clarify, does that means that some from a given chip are RED and some green? also can anything be any color other than red, green or blue? is anything one color only? The fixed text underneath each digit is separate with a driver board plugged in the back of it. Each Ser out of cc driver chip is connected to SerIn of the next chip and each SerOut pin of each driver board is connected to SerIn of the next driver board making a total of 41 driver boards. total chip number is 41 x 3 = 123 chips. Bitstream length is 123 x 16 = 1986 bits which is too long really. too long ? I have 3584 in production have had 5760 running in prototypes (proto only did not sell due to cost) Erik Mahmood, get some heavy gauge wire and octopus the ground before you do anything else, you will be surprised. do not remove the board to board ground, just add the octopus |
