#165759 - I dunno........ Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I am sure it will still be around in some asic designs for a while but a lot of the products which were traditionaly obvious markets for the 8052 are just not being made anymore in,I am thinking matrix printers, PC keyboards, we used to make a number plate reading camera which had an expension board which a 8052 on just to inform the main processor what type of expansion hardware was present which has been replaces by a single wire eeprom.
We shall see but I wouldn't be surprised to see companies like Philips and Atmel leading the remaining market for 8 bit processors with their own devices. |
